A narrow lane leads from
Hwy. Y to the show grounds, which are not visible from the
highway. Proceed with caution if you are hauling a big rig,
for trees on either side will challenge you, though it is
passable.
Parking is ample, in a grassy field adjacent to the show
area. The show pen is large and there is a sizeable, fenced,
warm up area.
As these shows are in the evenings, it is advised that you
bring a light jacket or sweater. This low lying valley
frequently cools off rapidly after sunset.
If you show in the registered halter classes, be sure to
have a copy of your horse's registration tucked in a
pocket or your waistband, because the show officials will ask to see them.
Concessions are of excellent quality and moderately priced.
There is some bleacher seating, and additional seating on
the porch of the concession stand. Many folks bring lawn
chairs and there is plenty of room to set up and have a good
view of the show. There are actual flush toilets in the
concession building. |
